FAQ

Getting Started

How can I test the Dokit platform?
It's very simple, click here and ask for immediate access to the Dokit demo platform. Please note that this is a public demo, so the content you create will be visible to everyone. This is reset daily.
Can I have my own demo platform to take things further?
We offer a 15-day free trial to test the Dokit platform in real-world conditions. Customise your graphic design, create your first content with just a few clicks, and share the platform with anyone. For access to your own demo platform, please contact us.
I would rather talk to someone on your team or attend an online presentation, is that possible?
Nothing could be easier. Make your request here, a member of our team will contact you shortly.
How long does it take to set up my platform?
It depends on the subscription you choose and therefore on your requirements. For example, it only takes five minutes to set up the Starter platform.

Dokit subscription

Do you offer discounts for organisations in education, non-profit or Open Source projects?
Of course! We would be happy to discuss your project with you and propose the right plan for your organisation. Contact our Support team.
How long is the commitment period?
For Starter and Enterprise packages, the subscription runs from month to month, meaning that you can stop whenever you want. For tailor-made platforms, we require an annual commitment.
I just subscribed to the Starter package. Is it possible to subscribe to certain options available in the Enterprise plan?
Unfortunately, this is not yet possible. But we are working hard to introduce this feature soon!
How to access the open source version of Dokit?
The open source version of Dokit is available here. Developers from all over the world, who are often familiar with Mediawiki software, use Dokit for their own projects. We are delighted to be able to contribute to the open source ecosystem and value all feedback and proposals from users.
What is the difference between the open source version of Dokit and the subscription version?
The open source version of Dokit integrates all the features available on our consumer platform Wikifab.org. However, we know that companies have specific needs and have therefore decided to offer a subscription-based version with advanced features and service levels.
The subscription version integrates all the features presented on the dedicated page. In addition, we offer business customers dedicated support, hosting the platform on secure servers, and supporting them in customising and developing specific features.

Hosting

What hosting options are available?
For the first two packages (Starter and Enterprise), the platform is hosted by Dokit, on secure servers. There is nothing for you to deal with.
With the tailor-made package, you have two options: hosted by Dokit or hosted on your own servers.
How does server hosting work?
Our Support team will explain all the details: technical requirements, maintenance, updates and training. Contact us for more information.

Data Security

How do you ensure that our data is secure?
Your platform content is backed up daily on a secure server. Dokit teams cannot access it, except in exceptional cases, when you would be notified.
Is it possible to export all created content myself?
Of course. This is one of the advantages of a wiki such as Dokit. You can download a file containing all your content with a single click.

Support

If I have a question or problem, how can I get help?
The Dokit team is available to answer all your questions from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6pm CET. Contact our support team.
How can I benefit from platform updates?
It's automatic! As a subscriber to the Enterprise package, your platform will be updated as a priority. For Starter subscribers, the update will be completed once Enterprise customers have received their updates.
